Mrs Cliffe teaches in Class 8 on a
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and a Thursday morning.
Mrs Bosomworth teaches in Class 8 on a Thursday afternoon and a Friday.
Mrs Randall and Miss Nicholson will be working in
Class 8 everyday.
Our topic this term is 'Everyday Heroes'.
We shall be thinking about what life was like for Florence Nightingale - a hero of nursing in the Victorian times.
We will be comparing her life and work to the life and work of the NHS staff in our lives.
We will be exploring the different countries connected with Florence Nightingale's travels - Italy, Germany and the Crimean Peninsula in Eastern Europe.
We will be reflecting upon the many 'Everyday Heroes' that we have in our lives and how they support and care for us.
Class 8 P.E.Kits:
Class 8 will need navy shorts, a white t-shirt, trainers, navy tracksuit bottoms and a navy sweater or navy tracksuit top.
Please label all uniform and P.E. Kits.
Phonics and Reading
We follow Letters and Sounds phonics programme as recommended by the Department of Education to teach phonics. We also use the Read Write Inc letter formation ditties. Our reading programme is Bug Club which is accessed online using your child's username and password.
