Mrs Logue is our class teacher, supported by Mrs Seeley our teaching assistant.
As a class our goal this term is to look at ways to be ‘imaginative’ in all our creative work and ‘not give up’ when things get challenging!
Our theme for this term is:
This term we shall be studying UK rivers and rivers around the world. We will learn about some of the mountains in the UK and compare them to mountain ranges in Europe and around the world. We will do an in depth study of Mount Everest, the highest mountain above sea level in the world! We will explore rivers and mountains and learn about the places they are located in and how they are formed.
Y5 children will get homework set on Friday in English and Maths. This is to be completed for the following Friday. In addition to this, they will also get spellings to learn that are from the statutory word list for Y5/6 and reading homework focusing on developing comprehension skills. Class 2 are expected to read on Bug club at least 4 times a week.
PE kits are to be in school every day and left on their pegs until Friday. Scheduled PE sessions for Class 2 are Monday and Thursday. Please ensure all clothing is labelled clearly so that lost items can be returned easily and quickly!
