Northumberland Residential 2017

Monday May 22nd 2017

We all arrived safely this morning by 10.30am ready for a relaxing river cruise. Had a lovely time on the boat. Visited Durham Cathedral this afternoon and heading back to the hotel now for tea.

Northumberland Day 2

A settled night but a most disappointing turnout for the early morning walk.  And no doubt the numbers will diminish over the week!

Northumberland Day 3

Another restful night - some pupils needed an extra prod to get them out of bed!  A well attended early morning walk took us to Stag Rock and beautiful views over the Farne Islands. Now stocking up at breakfast before a walk along the beach to Seahouses followed by a boat trip to Inner Farne.

Northumberland Day 4

Numbers were slightly down for the early morning walk but pretty good for day four. We have a hardy few who have made it each and every day. We went to St. Aidan's church yard to see the memorial to Grace Darling. Then off to Cragside to see Lord Armstrong's house; a touch of Victorian-style house keeping and engineering; a walk up the crags for den building and adventure playground. A beautiful day and a beautiful place. See you all tomorrow!
