Head's Office - 16th April, 2008

Hello!

A new School year is being prepared and already it appears that we are in for yet another eventful year! The retirement of Mrs. Tingay and Miss Clark leaves an opportunity to appoint a new teacher, something that happens infrequently at our School - although, having written that, we seem to have appointed quite a few new members of staff over the past couple of years! We are publishing this advert:

Head teacher: Miss Steph Brown

Required for September 2008
The Governors wish to appoint an experienced, highly motivated Year 6 teacher, with a secure knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum. We require someone who is excited about children' s learning and who has a clear appreciation of what motivates children and makes their learning fulfilling. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, who is able to provide a dynamic and creative learning environment. They will inspire others with their approach and enthusiasm, have a good sense of humour and team spirit and be committed to actively supporting the strong Christian ethos of the School. They will be expected to lead a subject area and will be given every opportunity for continued professional development.

Visits to the School are welcome. St. Martin's C.E. (Aided) Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Rigorous checks will be made of the successful applicant's background credentials, including ENHANCED CRB checks. Applications should be made using National Society (not North Yorkshire County Council) application forms, available from the School. For further information, please contact the School Office on 01723 360239, fax 01723 351783, or email to headteacher@st-martins.n-yorks.sch.uk

Closing date for applications - Friday 9th May 2008
Interview - Tuesday 20th May 2008

Keep your fingers crossed that we will get a strong field - Mr. Duncan will be a hard act to follow!
