We cannot believe we have come to the end of our week at East Barnby. It has shot by and some people have said things like, " I wish we could go back in time", " Can we come back again in two weeks time, after I have seen my Mum?" and " I wish it was Thursday!".
We had packed our cases the night before and it was just as well, cos we are all really tired today. Before Breakfast, we took all the bedding off the beds, dragged our cases to the Climbing wall area and scouted out the left socks, shoes and other bits that, like us, wanted to have a longer time at East Barnby. Mums may be interested to know that one dormitory generated two black bags of left over items, which with be kept in School until Friday before we break up for Half Term.
Now there was one more thing to do and that was Orienteering. The weather had decided it was going to feel sad we were going home but that didn't stop us doing our very best to find our way around the course using maps and compasses.
We'd used up nearly all our leg power in the week but we still kept smiling as we zoomed (or crawled!) around the course.
Then back to buses, little ones and a big one that took us to the end of our time here.
Miss Brown said she was delighted with the Staff, all of whom really looked after everyone and taught us so much, with all of us because we slept and ate and got stuck into everything and finally with her '20 years of visiting East Barnby' celebration cake, which we all shared.
What a brilliant week!
