The St.Martins Times
PASSOVER PALAVA AT ST.MARTINS SCHOOL

On the eleventh of February the year 6 from St.Martin’s school had a mock Passover feast in the hall, as they were learning about it.
The food they had was: leg of lamb, pitta bread, parsley, lettuce, horseradish and a mixture of stewed apple, almonds and cinnamon (called charoset). The drink they had was red and white grape juice, and for real wimps, Ribena.
One boy came late due to a headache. When he finally got to school the feast had already begun he rushed in and crashed into a chair.
We interviewed Father Tony and he said: "It was excellent! A great experience for all!"
We also interviewed Matthew W and he said: "I enjoyed the whole thing, I especially enjoyed the charoset and the grape juice.
Finally we interviewed Tom B and he said "I enjoyed the charoset and I think the feast was great!"
The whole feast actually took an hour.
