St.Martins’s Feast Of The Passover
We had a feast of the Passover at school. This is what we ate and what it represents:
1. Bitter Herbs (they represent the sorrow of the slaves).
2. Boiled egg (it represents new life in god kingdom).
3. Salt water, (represents the tears of the slaves).
4. Wine or grape juice (represents Jesus’s blood).
5. Pitta bread or unleavened bread (represents Jesus’s body and also they were told by Moses to make unleavened because levied bread takes longer to cook.)
6. Lamb (This is a main part of the Jews diet)
7. Haroset (is a mixture of stewed apples, raisins, almonds and cinnamon.)
8. Wine or grape juice (which represents Jesus’s blood)
I was in a group with Charlotte, Lauren,
Bexs, Poppy and Ruth. We had to dress in a dressing gown and put a teatowel on
our head
Tied on with a dressing gown cord. The first thing we ate was the parsley dipped in salt water, and then we had a toast everybody raised their glasses and Father Tony said the blessing. We made sandwiches for each other TJ gave one to Lauren which was full of horseradish and she ran to the toilet.
