Dressing up!
Before we started the feast we put on travelling clothes. I wore my mum’s old dressing gown and a tea towel with a hair band to keep it on.
Let’s make some noise!
Every so often Father Tony asked us to sing a song called ‘Dayeinu’ which means ‘That would have been enough.’ It was really funny because everyone started really quietly and we were just about shouting by the end!
Horrible horseradish!
At one point of the service Father Tony asked us to get some lettuce and dip it in the horseradish sauce. I took a large piece of lettuce and dipped a tiny corner of it in the horseradish sauce. I couldn’t taste it so I did it again. I still couldn’t taste it. Rebecca dipped her lettuce in and got a big blob of horseradish. She seemed to like it. I did the same, but then Rebecca looked at me, trying not to pull a face. I looked at Clara, Chloe then Jenny. Clara, Chloe and I picked up our cups and sneaked a drink!
Don’t make me laugh, please!
Near the end of the ceremony, Father Tony asked us all to shout; Next year in Jerusalem! Clara kept sniggering which made me laugh, so I could hardly shout it!
