Steph Brown - Headteacher

I have always loved school and transition from a pupil to a teacher was inevitable and seamless – I have been in school for 41 years! I studied for my teaching certificate in Bangor, North Wales, taught Adult Literacy for a year in Splot, Cardiff and finally crossed the border to work in Kent for 13 years. During this time I studied with Christchurch College, Canterbury and the Open University, receiving a Certificate of Reading and Language Development. I made the journey north to Scarborough in 1991 and moved to St. Martin’s in February 2001. My home church is Holy Apostles, Scarborough.

I enjoy many activities including reading, cross-stitch, puzzles and crosswords, theatre and cinema, cooking and eating, listening to all types of music and driving. My current ambition is to complete a M.Sc. course of study at Leeds Metro University before retirement!
