Lesley Black: School Secretary

I started working at St. Martin’s in September 1988 when my youngest child started school. I am married and have two grown up children aged 22 and 19. My only previous job was at Midland Bank, now known as HSBC, where I worked from 1974 – 1980.

It is very difficult to describe what I do, as my job is so varied. One minute I am dealing with thousands of pounds in the school budget and the next I am getting paper towels for the boys toilet or sticking a plaster on someone’s knee!

I love working at St. Martin’s. The staff are wonderful and the children never fail to surprise and delight me.
