JANET CORRIE

Originally my background was in Business Administration. I then gained qualifications and experience in training and assessing adults working towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).

I started working in school on a voluntary basis in 1999 to fulfil the practical element of training I was doing. I then completed various other work-related courses.

From September 2000-July 2002 I worked as an Advanced Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 2. I am currently employed part-time in a similar role in the Key Stage 1 area of the school. I enjoy my job very much.

I am currently Secretary of St Martin’s Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA) and carry out Mid-day Supervisor duties on a relief basis. I also help a dedicated team of staff and volunteers at the school’s lunchtime Reading Club whenever I can.

I have two children aged 11 and 8 years and most of my spare time is centred around them. My other interests include music, swimming, walking, and horse riding.
