DEBBIE SHAW

I began helping voluntarily in school in December 1999 when my youngest child reached school age. I enjoyed working with the children so much that I enrolled and successfully completed the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) ‘Helping In Schools’ Course.

In September 2000 I began working in Class 8 as a Teaching Assistant. In February 2001 I became involved with the Early Literacy Support Programme and received further training, which is on going. At lunchtime I help with Reading Club and I am a member of the Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA).

I enjoy spending my leisure time with my family and friends, going to the theatre, cycling, and playing tennis.
