My main interests lie within the arts and as such I pursued a combined honours degree in English and Art History here in Scarborough.

After careful consideration I decided that a career in primary teaching would best suit my personality and general interest in a broader curriculum. I undertook a PGCE course at The University of Hull for one year before returning to Scarborough to teach at St Martin’s.

I am currently in my third year of teaching and can be found in class 7 teaching a mixed group of Year 1 and 2 children. Two extra-curricular activities that I am involved with are the lunchtime reading club and a recorder group.

Out of school, I enjoy reading, listening to music and going for long walks on the beach. I also love cats and have recently adopted a stray called Timothy.
