Hi and welcome to running club for 2004. We are pleased to report that we have 33 members this year from years 4, 5 and 6.

We have already had one race this year. It was held at Hinderwell School, and we were                    

                FANTASTIC!

We have two runners from year 6 boys running for county on 20^th November at Raincliffe School, they are Adam Sample and Andrew Neal, We also have two year 6 girls running, Hayley Sayers and Lucy Walker. These four young people all finished in the top 14 in their race at Hinderwell.

On the same night the year 4 children all ran in their first race for us, they all did us proud. Robert Scarborough came 1^st in the year 3 / 4 fun run, with William Smith finishing 3^rd for the boys, Emily Jesson finishing 3^rd for the girls and Sam Mills finishing 4^th.

All the children who ran were exceptional in their behaviour and their team spirit and Mr Banks and I thank them all for trying so hard. Thanks also go to the parents who transported children to the race for us.

We will continue running up to Christmas, either on the field or out on our 2mile course or in the hall if the weather is bad.
